Chris MacAskill – co-founder of Smugmug talks the future of photography

Chris MacAskill – co-founder of Smugmug, will put his own life-long love of photography on display with photos that include a new 8’x32′ print of Prague. Then he’ll show trends in the business of photography and predict what they mean for photographers who sell. He’ll conclude with demos of recent SmugMug features and give a teaser or two of what’s coming.
Chris got a Master’s in Geophysics from Stanford and spent 10 years developing software and hardware for geophysical exploration. Then he lost his mind and joined Steve Jobs’ NeXT Computer for the adventure of a lifetime, the company that developed the operating system than became Apple’s OS X. Eight years ago he joined his son Don to pursue their love of all things photographic, web, and family through SmugMug.
